Trip

Tomorrow we'll be taking a trip into the nearby city. We're celebrating my roommate's birthday. It's been a few years since we've been able to do that. I'm glad we're getting out of the house and doing something for him this year.

Cooler

It actually has cooled down some. It was still warm enough to need the AC, but not so bad that I felt like I was dying. The nights are cooler as well, which is helpful for things like trying to sleep. 

This is good because I seriously need sleep. I need sleep like you would not imagine. 

It Lied

It was supposed to start cooling down tonight. It isn't. It was supposed to be in the 80s as a high tomorrow. It won't be. It's going to be cooler over the next week but then back to 100s the week after that. In September. It shouldn't be allowed to be this warm in September. This is just unbearable. 

Still Hot and Annoying

The weather has eased up just a few degrees but it's still pretty awful. I was sitting under cooling towels and decided I should ween myself off of them so I could handle sleeping in my horribly hot room. I regret it already and it's only been a few minutes. 

Anyway, we had to run errands today but we survived. Now we just have to make it through the rest of the week. The weather should hopefully level out by Monday.

Hot and Annoying

Today we had to go shopping and it was annoying. For one thing, it was insanely hot. Very hot. STUPIDLY hot. For another, at one point the road was blocked at the hospital and we had to basically weave around to find a way out. At another point, there was a truck from the cable company blocking the road with no signs or warnings that they were doing it. We had to make a weird pivoty back up to even get turned around. 

Everything was slow. Everything took longer than it should have. As hot as it was, we should have been home about an hour before we were. We ended up being out in the heat way longer than was healthy and we've both suffered for it since. 

Warm Again

It got hot again. I honestly think past the 16th of August, the weather should officially start cooling down. We're headed toward Fall, not away from it. 

August of 2022 was such a nice month. I guess this year decided to be hot and disappointing and awful. I'm not amused. At least I have good company. 

Decent Day

Even though it was supposed to get really hot today, it didn't actually get so bad. We still had to turn on the AC, but only for a few hours. That was helpful compared to what it could have been. 

I actually published for the first time in a while last night. I wasn't going to during the month, but this was finished so I figured I might as well. I also started one of my Scribbles stories and I'm liking where it's going.
